Meet Darcie
Real Estate AgentA Santa Barbara native, Darcie has deep roots in the community, where multiple generations of her family have been in local real estate as agents and investors; as Darcie says, "It's in my genes."
Although it seems like Darcie has practiced real estate her entire life, she started her career in the film industry after graduating from NYU Tisch Film School. With a focus on art direction and design, her career transitioned into the burgeoning start of internet marketing, where she could use her creative skills for clients' online marketing campaigns. Eventually, Darcie went to work for Lawyers Title, a local title and escrow company, as the Sales Manager for Santa Barbara County.
Twenty years ago, when Darcie was expecting her first child, she decided to officially go into what she knew best: local real estate as a residential agent. Her background in Title & escrow gave her an advantage, as well as Darcie's good eye for design, where she can advise clients to maximize their return with minimal improvements when needed.
Darcie has been part of the Dabney & McKnight Team for the last ten years. Thomas Dabney, Lynn Cochrane, and Darcie are the lead agents, with Terry Gardner as their dedicated Transaction Assistant.
When Darcie isn't practicing real estate, you can often find her on the tennis or pickleball courts, hiking with her dog, cooking, spending time with her family, and perfecting a large variety of ocean sports, including her new favorite, wing-foiling.
